Her voice brightens up my thoughts

The whole world stops and stares for a while.

She be the best gift
Sent from above
That i wouldn't want to lose
She's worth a lot more than what the world could give
Cause she's all that I ever wanted.

She be my model
Her sense of fashion
Is just  extraordinary
From dresses that show her beautiful legs
To blouses that brings out the best of her
She's indeed a goddess

CRUEL WORLD

It’s no doubt we are living in a cruel world
A world full of serpents who live in the wild
A world ruled by the minority
While the weak are the majority

Where did we go wrong?
Who brought this evil into our universe?
Siblings turn against each other
To an extend of causing harm and death
Reason being property, land or love
Who’s to be blame the cause of this pain?

Where did the humanity go?
The cops have now become more criminals than cops
The people whom we depend to keep us safe
Are now turning against us
Whom do we turn to in terms of danger, fear and unrest?
Let God intervene during this difficult times

Let’s be our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers
All we need is love
We are all equal before God and humanity
Let’s hold hands and condemn these vices
And make our world a better place for our children and our children’s children.

MY SKIN

My skin,
A God given gift from above
From its complexion
To its function
It's no doubt is a complex organ

Skin doesn't define any human
I wonder why people have to separate
Separate based on skin colour
Believing "white" is superior while "black" is inferior

We are created equal
One race and that's human
Black and white are just adjectives
They neither show someone's superiority nor inferiority

Skin defines who you are
And not what you are
Don't be a bleach boy
Just to "fit" in the society
Be proud of your skin tone
Cause that's what makes you

If I say I love you
Will you say you love me too?
The kind of love
That comes from the bottom of your heart
That's so pure and real

If I say I need you
Will you also say you need me too?
In good and in bad times
In all different kinds of weather
Never be seasonal
And need when you are in trouble
Or when you need a favor

If I say I wanna offer you my heart
What will you do with it
Will you keep it safe?
Safe from any kind of heartbreak
Cause I will do the same for you

YOU'RE REPLACEABLE

I spent much of my precious time
Just to check up on you
From texting,
To an extend of calling you
Worried every single minute
Worried of me loosing you

Spent every last penny on you
You ran me dry
Just to make you happy
But what did I get in return
Just heartache and misery
It's hard for me to say
But you're replaceable

Became infatuated with your whole appearance
So much that, likes on your IG make you happy
You sought attention in wrong places
But it never bothered me
Cause deep down I loved you in person

Sacrificed my happiness
Just to see your glowing face

So much that when I talked to you
You never hear
It's hard for me to say

Why did you leave?

I remember all the good times
Times that we got to spend together They were one of there kind,no doubt about it
You were a precious gemstone before my eyes
That I didn't want to get out of my sight

Trust me it was the best feeling I ever felt
Believe me you were irreplaceable
And nobody can replace you

Just be you
The real you
It's you that I want
I can't ask for more
Do not be some sort of a scam
Who masquerades into make-ups
Looking for fame in the social media
All this is temporary
They come and go

Do not be deceived by so many likes in your IG
All those are hungry wolves
Who will lure you to their traps
Buy you expensive food and drinks
Preventing you from seeing life in a big picture
They will later use you and dump you
Who knows what they would have left you with
Just be yourself my dear

Be careful when choosing friends
Avoid fake friends
All these are temporary
They will only be with you in happy times
When the tables turn around
You'll be on your own
As much as you want to be with "classy" friends
Just be yourself dear one

Who knows what I would do for you,
Probably I would have taken you to cloud nine
Give the whole world to you
I would do anything 4u even if is to work in the mine
Just to see the happy version of you

Cause that's who you are

Everything will be at your disposal

We would cuddle during the cold weather

DECEPTION

It all started with a phone call
She talked like she knew me
Her laughter said it all
Am not sure whether she was laughing at my jokes or me

I was there busy talking
To keep the conversation moving
Whatever I said, it kept her laughing
I never knew "she" is not the one talking

I was made a fool out of the talk
She got to know my birthday
my favorite color followed
she claimed to send me a T-shirt(a blue one)

OMG! Everything happened too fast
Didn't see everything crystal clear
Only to realize later she was someone's mum
What happened felt so real.

THE GIRL

When she walked into the place
I knew right then and there
There must be something different about this girl
Her dress, her style
From the way she talked
One can say she's heaven sent.

It's not until when I got close to her
That's when I got to understand her
She says she doesn't take food colour
But who knows what she takes in her room
That's discussion for another day.

Her favourite colour is black
It's no doubt it complements her light-skinned body
Her skin seems to glow when exposed to the sun
She's indeed a gemstone

When she smiles
You can see her well aligned dental formula
From the incisors to molars
They are as sparkling white as snow
One can spot them from a distance.

I am a poet,
And it's not by chance,
Inspiring people through my pen and paper,
Is all I do,
Giving back hope to the souls,
Souls that have despaired in life,
Encouraging and holding their hands,
Make them see life in a bigger picture,
For a better tomorrow,
Cause hope is all they need.
